Jack Mildren (1949-2008)

Sooner Legend and member of Oklahoma Alpha Jack Mildren passed away on May 22, 2008. A true brother in the bond, Mildren quarterbacked the Sooners from 1969-1971, including the "Game of the Century" against Nebraska.  In 1971, he was named an All-American quarterback as well as an Academic All-American, going on to play in the NFL for the Baltimore Colts as well as the New England Patriots. In 1990, he served as the Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma. The current members of Oklahoma Alpha were lucky enough to get to meet Jack when he came back to the house in the Spring of 2007 for the traditional Founder's Day ceremonies. He raised the bar for all of us to follow, and he will be missed greatly.
